Seven Things

I'm not one for tags, but here you go. As requested by Marcie, seven random facts/habits:
1. I like playing my guitar.

2. I took two years of Greek in college.

3. I have a total 25 first cousins, and only two of them are older than myself.

4. I have a picture of myself with Larry Eustachy (don't worry--there's no Natty Light involved).

5. I love using my Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker.

6. I'm currently trying to memorize James 1.

7. I recently started keeping a one-sentence journal: each day I summarize or describe the day in one line.

And no need to worry--I'm not tagging anyone else.

Eliot on Progress

Here's a quote from TS Eliot's poem "Choruses from the Rock" that is worth pondering:

The endless cycle of idea and action,
Endless invention, endless experiment,
Brings knowledge of motion, but not of stillness;
Knowledge of speech, but not of silence;
Knowledge of words, and ignorance of the Word.
All our knowledge brings us nearer to our ignorance,
All our ignorance brings us nearer to death,
But nearness to death no nearer to God.
Where is the Life we have lost in living?
Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?
Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?
